So, this week was a long one, but it's basically over. I've been doing double-duty this week as I had both work to do and needed to get my apartment cleaned and ready for my mum to come visit this weekend. I stayed up till 3:30AM on Wednesday (technically Thursday by then) and had to get up at 6:30AM for work! I got the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom done. Yeah! I'll finish up the living room and dinning table tomorrow after reports.
I picked my mum up without a hitch and we went to have dinner at Catfish Parlor, probably the best catfish in Austin. I pigged out and had the All You Can Eat Spicy Cajun plate. Ended up eating 8 fillets...AND h

Pondering Fate, Life, and Inevitability

Today I saw something horrible happen to a pure and innocent life. I'm not sure what to think about it, what to do, what I could have done, or what it all means. I'm hoping that by writing it down and from your comments, that I can make some sense of it.
I went to my local (about a 20 minute drive) yarn store to pick up some more yarn and needles for a project I'm making for my mum for her birthday. As I was driving through the parking lot to the store, I noticed a little bird on the side of the parking lot in front of the HEB entrance.
